The Madame Walker Theatre Center is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization committed to advancing the legacy of Madame CJ Walker – our nation’s first self-made female millionaire. We advance Madame’s legacy through a 6 point initiative of art, entertainment, cultural awareness, youth empowerment, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship. Through this mission we provide a robust season performances, lectures, and youth programming offered at low to no cost. Our programs seek to enrich lives, instill cultural and civic pride, and educate through cultural and entertainment experiences. We are able to provide our programming at low to no cost thanks to the generous support of corporations, individuals, and grant organizations.
