Art on the Avenue

Art on the Avenue is one of The Walker’s active programs which includes art exhibitions that rotate monthly. The Madame Walker Theatre Center, anchoring the historic Indiana Avenue Cultural District, uses art as a platform to empower youth, inspire entrepreneurship and facilitate social justice. In an effort to reclaim the vitality Indiana Avenue held in its heyday, Art on the Avenue provides emerging artists an opportunity to showcase and sell their work in our non-traditional 4th-floor art space as a part of IDADA’s 1st Friday Gallery Walk.
